- Listed below are a selection of the checks that are carried out by our engineers during a routine preventative maintenance inspection / service visit. Our inspection and testing procedures include the followingRegular visits to ensure camera position and lens focus is as per required view.
- Ensuring constant and uniform power to cameras for 24×7 recording.
- Testing of PTZ cameras and ensuring optimal communication between controller and camera.
- Verifying the recording of cameras as per desired backup time.
- Taking regular back ups from the DVR / NVR and storing with labelled folders and we also provide data storage solutions.
- Replacing faulty devices and accessories whenever required.
- Check history of CCTV system since last maintenance service.
- Check all CCTV control equipment (monitors, VCR, DVR, Multiplexer etc.).
- Check and clean cameras, lenses and housings as necessary.
- Check lenses for correct field of view and adjust as necessary.
- Check pictures for correct field of view and adjust as necessary.
- Visual inspection of all major CCTV components including cabling & connections where accessible for signs of deterioration or damage.
- Check recording and playback quality.
- Check the satisfactory transmission of images to remote centre (where applicable).
- Repair any minor faults (where possible).
- Retrain the users on the use of the CCTV system (if required).
- Log all test results.
- Return the CCTV system to operational status.
